They cover 9 different occasions at 2 different price points – 18 different choices in all.

Appointments

Phone the studio or book online. If you have a specific date, please give us at least 28 days notice – more at peak times/weekends – to enable us to meet your requirements. Appointments times are subject to availability. The CD contains a reference code, which you will need to quote when booking to identify your payment. The reference code will Include the expiry date for booking your shoot, which will be at least 6 months from purchase. You will receive your booking confirmation In the post.

Timings

Please make sure that your appointment time is a good time for everyone involved. If children are tired or hungry they will be very difficult to photograph. We sometimes have a little break to settle them down, and therefore it may be helpful to bring their own fruit beaker or bottle of mllk to comfort them.

Location

Most Photoshoots take place In your home and garden. This is where you are most relaxed – and that will come across In the photographs. If you would rather go elsewhere or if family members are congregating from all comers of the country, the studio will have lots of suggestions. Jenny covers all of Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire. Please contact the studio for prices further a field.

Colours

All photographs are taken in colour and then some are changed to Black & White in the lab. Interestingly the majority of pictures are selected in Black & White, but this is your choice. Keep colours simple – plain and striped are good as are simple pattens on a dress for example. Black, white, ercu works well as do pastels. For a group shot, choosing a collective colour or tone is a good idea.

Clothing

This is a list of SUGGESTIONS only – each session is individual and it is important that you feel comfortable with your choice of cloths, so that the pictures reflect your lifestyle. Please select several different outfits – the more choice the better!

Suggestions – Adults; jeans, black trousers, light coloured body or top, long sleeved shirt, casual jumper.

Suggestions – Children; denim jeans, bright coloured clothes, pinafore dresses, long shorts, hats and headbands etc. In fact anything that looks good on your children. Suggestions – Lingerie; many fabrics work well, scarves for example draped over a shoulder. The studio will have lots of suggestions.

Props

If your child has a favourite teddy you may like to include this in the pictures. The more old fashioned ones look better, but as we are intending to capture their childhood, their favourite toy will have a lot of sentimental value in the future – no matter how grubby and chewed it may seem now. Pets will need not only their toys but also their favourite chews and nibbles. Bribery is a key part of the shoot!

Viewing the pictures

After the session we will arrange a suitable time for you to view your pictures. The pictures will be presented in the form of a projected slideshow. You will have plenty of time to discus your requirements. We have a good selection of framing styles. Canvas and acrylic products are available at an additional cost the initial prices are at a preview discount of 15%. It Is therefore a good idea to make sure that everyone needed to make a decision is present at this viewing. We have a selection of beautiful albums and frames, canvas and acrylic options – please do not hesitate to ask for advice on any aspect of presentation. Photographs are not available on disk, but can be uploaded onto the studio website along with a security code for your protection.

Cancellations

Cancellations must be made 7 days prior, to guarantee rescheduling. If less than 7 days, please let us know as soon as possible and we will do our best to reschedule your appointment. Very rarely do we have to cancel for inclement weather, we normally find a solution, but if this is the case your appointment will be rescheduled at priority. If we have to cancel a shoot for reasons beyond our control, we will notify you as soon as we can and will do our best to offer an alternative date to suit. We regret that we will be unable to reimburse any expenses you may have incurred in relation to the shoot.
